WHAT DREAMS MAY COME

Path To A Dream
Nightmares can leave us feeling upset, unsettled and even afraid, but they are not necessarily bad.
Kumbaga, ang panaginip natin ang nagsisilbing mensahe mula sa ating unconscious mind that provide us the opportunity to look within ourselves. It is when we fall asleep that the brain has a chance to act alone, without being influenced by the external stimulae that keep it active and preoccupied during the day.

It takes more than six billion brain cells to produce just one image in a dream, which shows how much the unconscious mind wants to bring information to our attention. Ayon sa isang psychology professor ng University of California na si Dr. William Domhoff, dreams are a reflection of our waking thoughts. Idinagdag pa niya:
"The most psychologically interesting factors that shapes dream content are the life experiences that generate each person's mix preoccupations and interests. The intensity of our individual concerns is revealed by the frequency with which people and activities appear in our dream. The way we regard these people and activities in waking life is exposed by the way they are portrayed in our dreams."
Well, researchers from University of Arizona have pointed towards late nights as one of the main triggers of bad dreams. Sa kanilang pag-aaral, kung saan nag-survey sila ng mga panaginip ng 264 men and women, they found that people who tend to stay up later were 71 percent more likely to have nightmares than those who go to bed and get up earlier.

Ang pagtulog ng alanganin na sa oras ay negreresulta ng abnormal na ugnayan between your sleep schedule and the secretion of hormones related to daylight such as cortisol and melatonin. High levels of the stress hormone cortisol at night may be responsible for disrupting the way the brain archives memories during sleep and cause the brain to interpret those memories as frightening dreams, ayon pa sa mga dalubhasa.

Para naman sa isang masarap, payapa at mahimbing na pagtulog, ayon sa mga eksperto, we need to reduce stress and allow the body and mind to relax properly before we turn in. Avoid, avoid, avoid using computers for three to four hours before going to sleep.

Recommendations for an undisturbed night and peaceful dreams are to engage in soothing, relaxing activities before bed. Meditation, reflection and most of all, focusing on positive thoughts are the best way to prevent nightmares. Try to focus your last thoughts of the day on gratitude, which will put you in a positive, relaxed mindset for the night.

THE "GODZILLA" OF NISSAN

So the guy sent somebody to meet me on his behalf. Me and the other guy agreed to meet at the Emirates Towers, at para mabilis ay sumakay ako ng taxi. Along the way ay napahinto ang taksing sinasakyan ko sa Trade Center Interchange dahil naka-red light ang traffic signal. To pass the time, I opened up a conversation with my Pakistani driver.

Next minute, we found ourselves being sandwiched by two Tuners. Obviously, they were Arabs. When the light turned green, pinauna na muna ng taxi driver ko ang dalawang kotse, and at that f***in moment, I had this very rare opportunity to take a glimpse of what they were driving. Natulala ako, ‘Dre!... Sabi ko na lang: ”Shit! Skyline ‘yun ah!” The car that was on my right side was a Nissan Skyline R33 or R34, I was not sure. And the car on the left, for sure that it was a 2011 NISSAN GTR.

Maaaring sabihin ninyo:… Duh… So, what’s the big deal?

Let me tell ya, boys and girls… Well, mapapalingon ka pa din and I can say na sa isang araw mo nang paglilibot sa buong Dubai, I am sure na makakakita ka ng dalawa o tatlong Lambo at Ferrari. Kundi naman, apat o limang Maserati o Aston Martin. But, Nissan Skyline! Any model! Mag-ikot ka, wala kang makikita. That’s why, itinuturing kong rare opportunity ang gabing ‘yun na makakita ako ng Nissan Skyline with my two friggin’ eyes!

WHY AM I SO FREAKED OUT, YOU ASKED?

Well, guys as a big fan of Tuner cars and of course the Skyline, allow me to share to you a few liiiiittle things about these beasts.

Skyline 2000GT S54
Here we go… The very first Skyline was actually not made by Nissan Motor Company. It was built by Prince Motor Company, and the Skyline made its debut in 1957. May 1, 1964, two days before the second Grand Prix, inilaunch ng Prince ang Skyline 2000GT S54, with 6-cylinder, 1,988cc (Weber triple-carb) engine. At ang nangyari pa, kinailangan ng Prince na makapagproduce ng at least minimum of 100units required for GT approval in time for the race. During the actual race, the car delighted the crowds by briefly leading a Porsche 904. But the trophy was lost to a late-entry Porsche 904, so once again Prince suffered defeat. However, the story of how the 2000GT had put up a brave fight against a Porsche soon spread around the country and the "Skyline legend" was born

1969 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R
Noong taong 1966 ay nag-merge ang Prince Motor Company at ang Nissan Motor Company bringing more upmarket cars, including the Nissan Skyline and Nissan Gloria, into its selection. At noong 1969, ipinanganak ang Nissan Skyline GT-R under the Nissan banner. The main purpose of creating the 2000GT-R was to win the 1969 JAF Grand Prix. Pushing maximum output to 230PS/8,400rpm, this gave the Skyline an even greater edge on the circuit. So successful was the GT-R that people said "Skyline’s only rival is Skyline." This vehicle’s momentous record of 50 victories over in a period of 2 years and 10 months will never be forgotten in the history of Japanese racing.

1971
1972 Nissan Skyline Hard Top GT-R
Raising clouds of spray, car No. 15, a GT-R driven by K. Takahashi, took the checkered flag and simultaneously made history.

The GT-R would not be seen for the next 16 years.

1989
1989 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32)
Taong 1989 nang ilaunch ang 1989 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) and it took the Japanese automotive market by storm. This car was nicknamed “Godzilla” by the Australian motoring publication “Wheels” in its July 1989 edition. It featured all-wheel Super HICAS steering, AWD and a turbocharged inline-6, walang iba kundi ang RB26DETT. It pumped out 280bhp and 260lb.-ft. of torque. This event was won by K. Hoshino and Toshio Suzuki (Calsonic), but also driving GT-Rs in this series, to the delight of the crowds, were Masahiro Hasemi (UNISIA JECS), K. Takahashi (Advan), and K. Tohira (Zexel). A, and in all 29 races of the four series held from 1990 to 1993, the R32 GT-R reigned supreme as the undisputed champion. It was victorious too at the final Group A championship race in 1993, bringing this chapter in the GT-R’s history to a glorious conclusion (from 1994 Group A was replaced by the Super Touring Car).

1993
1995 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33)
Nismo 400R
Nissan R390 GTI

1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)
Imagine driving a car with 800bhp…

Pangalawa ay noong 2005 Tokyo Motor Show where they unveiled a redesigned concept, ang GTR Proto.

VR38DETT Engine
It was mounted engine and rear-wheel drive dual-clutch gearbox built by hand.

The Fast and the Furious
The Fast and the Furious series.

Wika nga nila: “The only thing that can beat a Skyline… is also a Skyline..
